About

Arushi Rohilla is a dedicated Economics student with a passion for exploring knowledge beyond textbooks. She initiated Gamma Talks in the ninth grade during the COVID-19 pandemic as a platform for students to spread positivity in challenging times. A seasoned public speaker, Arushi has delivered two TEDx talks. She is also an avid reader of classic literature, with a particular fondness for Jane Austen’s novels. Actively engaged in her community, Arushi believes that research is our best path to discovering the truth. Her interests extend to cryptocurrency, investment banking, and more.

A hard hitting talk on the unpopular thoughts and opinions that the GENz is presenting in the name of activism, Arushi touches on the finer nuances of how and why these opinions need channelizing and structure. Arushi is an extroverted student from grade 11, an aspiring Economics major, who is an ardent admirer of classic literature and spends most of her free time watching Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly movies. She has been a departmental head at numerous student-led social welfare organizations, and profoundly enjoys interacting with youth activists and advocates. Her experience in this field has helped her comprehend the GenZ mentality in detail. With her talk, she wants to concentrate on GenZ activism and the mistakes its members are making in the name of change. Her talk is not only an informative presentation but also an eye opener for change-makers. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx

From the Founder’s Desk

My vision for Gamma is not to simply create a research journal with a specific agenda, but to cultivate a community that values the very journey and process of research. I want more students with little or no experience to involve themselves in research. While it may take time for them to attain the level of expertise that enables them to publish quality papers, with the help of our seasoned research advisors, that’s possible. I want students to be able to connect with them and value research as more than a profession but the closest they can get to curious discoveries. It’s all about wanting to know the truth, and publishing your findings in the process. Simple curiosity, with no strings attached- that’s Gamma.
