About Mr. Ambuja Tripathy

Dr Ambuja K Tripathy teaches Political Science, and he is associated with the University of Delhi. As associate professor, he has teaching experience at Shri Ram College of Commerce and Lakshmibai College of Delhi University. Recently, Dr Tripathy worked as faculty at Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore. He was also an affiliated fellow at Developing Countries Research Centre, University of Delhi. He was selected by the Watson Institute of Brown University, USA as a visiting fellow for international development studies in 2010 and for the Brown international fellowship for the school on ‘globalization and inequality in the global South’ in 2015. Dr Tripathy obtained his PhD in Political Science from the University of Delhi in 2015.

His research focuses on development discourse in state-civil society relation with case studies from the state of Odisha in Eastern India. His interest areas are development studies, political and social theory (particularly state, civil society and public sphere), comparative politics, and citizenship studies. He
has presented papers in various national and international conferences and contributed to several peer reviewed, scopus indexed and UGC-CARE listed journals.
